Layout + Site Information

This layout was made in Photoshop CS2 using a scan from Minitokyo. The texture and brush are from Ownthesunshine. Everything was hand coded in valid XHTML with my favorite html editor, CuteHTML LE. The sky texture in the background was made from a photo taken by myself.

If there's one bone I want to pick with Sunrise in terms of it's media, it's with the scans. This time around they just didn't give us really pretty stuff like they gave SEED. Gundam SEED had many commissioned artists doing many artbook quality collections. Gundam 00 got some calendar art, magazine stuff covered in text, and nothing really artbook worthy, except those drawn by Kouga Yun herself (but those don't often give unobstructed shots). My point? Well this layout was really hard to do. Other than using Kouga Yun's art (which Lockon was usually covered by other characters), I was stuck using the anime art. The anime art is awesome, don't get me wrong, but Setsuna gets most of the cover shots and really nice poses and well, he just gets a lot. So making a decent layout for this tribute took many tries. I was going for a "desolate skies" feel. Hopefully I'm somewhat close. I tried to not use the image repeating thing I usually do, but... I ended up doing it just so I'd fill that space with something. If they didn't give us this particular image, I probably would still be stuck trying to make a nice looking layout.

But of course, despite my nagging of Sunrise, this tribute would not be possible without it. Gundam 00 and all characters are copyright to Sunrise, Inc. and this is just a fan production. All contents are written by me using the anime series for reference. Please do not copy or reproduce.

Okay, honestly? Sunrise just recently released really nice artbook images... and finally gave us the textless versions. I swear they must be trying to smite me. Anyway, Setsuna still gets more spots than the other Meisters, but at least we don't have text covering up Lockon, just Setsuna's butt. 8D;;
